Rat King Legends

Lyrics

[Verse 1] Rat King Legends, six names on the screen Building a family, chasing the dream “Ready?” “Almost!” “Just one more thing!” The countdown starts while we’re still in the lobby [Pre-Chorus] One’s making a sandwich, one can’t hear a word One’s yelling “I’m loading!”—we already launched, nerd [Chorus] We’re Rat King Legends, destined for fame We group up late, then forget the game Controllers die and somebody’s AFK We scream, we wipe, we laugh it away We’re climbing to glory, one bad call at a time Not ready, not ready—but we’re doing just fine [Verse 2] First big fight and the comms go wild “Behind us!” “No, that’s me!” “Who launched that missile?” I dodge off a ledge with heroic flair Then revive myself—wait, nobody’s there [Pre-Chorus] The boss is at one percent, we’ve got this in hand My batteries quit and I’m waving goodbye to the land [Chorus] We’re Rat King Legends, destined for fame We group up late, then forget the game Controllers die and somebody’s AFK We scream, we wipe, we laugh it away We’re climbing to glory, one bad call at a time Not ready, not ready—but we’re doing just fine [Bridge] “Everybody ready?” — “Define ready!” “Who’s still alive?” — “Not me, but I’m steady!” “Pick me up!” — “I’m trying!” — “That’s the wrong guy!” We’re laughing so hard we forget we can die [Final Chorus] We’re Rat King Legends, destined for fame A family built out of questionable aim Controllers die and somebody’s AFK We scream, we wipe, we laugh it away We’re climbing to glory, no matter the climb Not ready, not ready—but we’re doing just fine Rat King Legends, still here, still in line! [Outro] “Ready?” “Yeah!” “Wait—who’s gone AFK?”
