Mabel's Halloween Spider Pie

Lyrics

[Intro] Gather round, now, gather near, There's a pie that bites tonight! [Verse 1] Miss Mabel wore a purple hat, And kept a kitchen neat, She stirred a pie beneath the clock And hummed a crooked beat. Then from a jar beside the flour, She tipped her guests inside— Eight-legged little pastry guests She tucked beneath the crust with pride! [Chorus] Spider pie, spider pie, Mabel's got a secret inside! Flaky top and cinnamon, Count those legs before you dive in! Spider pie, spider pie, Hear the whole town squeal and sigh! Take one bite—now don't be shy, It's Mabel's Halloween spider pie! [Verse 2] The mayor came in for one small slice, The baker came for two, They saw a tiny silver thread Stretch from the fork to shoe. Miss Mabel laughed, “It's homemade, dear! I baked it just for you!” The mayor dropped his napkin fast; The spiders skittered through! [Bridge] At midnight, when the church bells rang, The pie tin gave a hop, The spiders formed a marching band And paraded past the shop! Mabel waved her rolling pin, They bowed and circled twice— Then marched right back beneath the crust To hide in the spice! [Final Chorus] Spider pie, spider pie, Mabel's got a secret inside! Flaky top and cinnamon, Count those legs before you dive in! Spider pie, spider pie, Hear the whole town squeal and sigh! Save a slice for you and I— It's Mabel's Halloween spider pie! [Outro] Miss Mabel's baking—doors locked tight! Happy Halloween tonight!
