Johan & Kevin – Light Up the Winter ❄️🔥

Lyrics

JOHAN & KEVIN – LIGHT UP THE WINTER ❄️🔥 [Intro – Atmospheric synths, sparkling bells] [Male – spoken] Kevin, the whole town’s covered in snow. You still coming? [Female – spoken] I’m already outside, Johan! Grab the camera—let’s go! [Beat drops – Both] Hey! Hey! Johan and Kevin! Hey! Hey! Light up the winter! [Verse 1 – Male, rhythmic] Ten minutes late, trying to find my gloves, You’re by the gate while I’m still getting dressed. Camera charged, got my boots tied tight, We’ve got nowhere to be for the rest of the night. [Female – melodic] The bus pulls away as we run down the street, You laugh so hard you can barely breathe. We take the long way, past the frozen lake, Making up a chorus with every step we take. [Pre-Chorus – Both, building] Our fingers freeze, but we won’t head home, There’s music coming from somebody’s phone. You turn it up, I count to three— Come on, sing it back to me! [Chorus – Female lead, Male responses] We light up the winter! [Male] Hey! Hey! Dancing through the snow tonight. We light up the winter! [Male] Hey! Hey! Under every coloured light. [Both] Johan and Kevin, out in the cold, Making the kind of stories we’ll tell when we’re old. Oh-oh-oh, let the whole town sing! We light up the winter— Let the good times in! [Instrumental – Bright Eurodance synth hook] Hey! Hey! Johan and Kevin! Hey! Hey! Here we go again! [Verse 2 – Male, rhythmic] You pick a hill, say, “Let’s race to the end!” One little sled for a couple of friends. I push too hard, we spin halfway down, Now I’ve got snow where it shouldn’t be found! [Female – melodic] We watch the footage in the café light, Your hat flies off at exactly the right time. Two cups of chocolate, a table by the door, We play it back and start laughing once more. [Pre-Chorus – Both, building] The windows steam as the evening falls, We hear our song through the tiny phone’s calls. You tap the table, I count to three— Now everybody sing with me! [Bridge – Soft piano, warm synth strings] [Male – softly] Some days there’s nothing much to say, And all our plans just drift away. [Female – softly] Then comes a message: “Coming out?” And suddenly there’s something to laugh about. [Both – building] We don’t know what next year will bring, But right here, right now— We’ve got a song to sing! [Dance break – Driving beat, soaring synth melody] Hey! Hey! Turn it up! Hey! Hey! Don’t you stop! Johan! Kevin! Everybody, let’s go! [Final Chorus – Both, powerful harmonies] We light up the winter! Hey! Hey! Dancing through the snow tonight. We light up the winter! Hey! Hey! Under every coloured light. Johan and Kevin, out in the cold, Making the kind of stories we’ll tell when we’re old. Oh-oh-oh, let the whole town sing! We light up the winter— Let the good times in! [Outro – Male, spoken over fading synths] Kevin… did you film the sled ride? [Female – spoken] Every second. [Male – spoken] Even when I lost my hat? [Female – laughing] Especially that! [Both – shouted] JOHAN & KEVIN! [Final synth hit]
