Breathe on Me (Ruach HaKodesh)

Lyrics

[Chorus] Ruach HaKodesh, breathe on me, Fill the places no one sees. Fire of Elohim, burn in my soul. Ruach HaKodesh, move in me, Lift my eyes so I can see. Ruach HaKodesh, breathe on me, You’re the comfort I’ve never known. [Verse] I tried every answer the world had to sell, Filled every corner and still couldn’t tell Why I was empty, why nothing would hold, Till You spoke life to these dry bones. You whispered my name like the words of a song, Breaking the chains I’d been bound by so long. [Bridge] I was searching, I was tired, My faith had lost its fire. You weren’t far, You weren’t gone, I opened my heart and You carried me on. (Breathe on me, breathe on me) Like the morning after rain, I will never be the same. (Breathe on me, breathe on me) [Final Chorus: key change, full choir, building] (Choir swell) Ruach HaKodesh… Ruach HaKodesh, breathe on me, Fill the places, Fill the places, Fill the places no one sees. (Lead, rising) Fire of Elohim, Fire of Elohim, Fire of Elohim, burn in my soul. (Choir answers) Ruach HaKodesh, move in me, (Lead) Move in me! (Choir) Move in me, Lift my eyes, Lift my eyes, Lift my eyes so I can see. [Breakdown: music drops, voice and piano only] Ruach… Breath of life… Come from the four winds, Breathe on me… [Final Lift: full band and choir return, loudest moment] Ruach HaKodesh, breathe on me! (Choir) Breathe on me! Ruach HaKodesh, breathe on me! (Choir) Breathe on me! Fill the places, Fill the places no one sees. [Tag: slowing, soft] Ruach HaKodesh… Breathe on me.
