Domenic, Play That Cheerful

Lyrics

[Verse 1] At AccessPoint, the day gets bright When Domenic takes his place He sets his hands upon the keys With a grin across his face He twinkles ivory, quick and light Till every chair joins in A tune goes rolling down the hall And laughter starts to spin [Chorus] Domenic, play that cheerful tune Let it laugh and dance along Pull up close and join the room Everybody’s in the song Domenic, keep the good times near There’s always room for one more friend A little Italian-Mexican man With a melody that won’t quite end [Verse 2] He loves a conversation And he listens like a friend One story turns to two or three Before the afternoon can end Then back he goes to those old keys A sparkle in his eye The music takes a little stroll And rolls the worries by [Chorus] Domenic, play that cheerful tune Let it laugh and dance along Pull up close and join the room Everybody’s in the song Domenic, keep the good times near There’s always room for one more friend A little Italian-Mexican man With a melody that won’t quite end [Bridge] A little chat, a little grin A bright refrain to welcome in No one has to sit apart When Domenic plays from the heart [Final Chorus] Domenic, play that cheerful tune Let it laugh and dance along Pull up close and join the room Everybody’s in the song Domenic, keep the good times near Let the happy hours extend The AccessPoint Key Man Our piano-playing friend [Outro] One last turn, one last refrain Domenic makes us smile again
