Johan, Gabriel & Simon – From Then to Now 💙

Lyrics

JOHAN, GABRIEL & SIMON – FROM THEN TO NOW 💙 [Intro – Female, softly] Who could have known that first hello would mean so much as years would go? [Male] We took different roads, but here we are, with memories that never feel too far. [Both] Johan, Gabriel and Simon, us three, so much left to share, so much left to see. [Verse 1 – Male] At Nolhaga School in Alingsås, that’s where our paths first came across. I was in eighth grade, you were starting seven, that’s when I first met you, Gabriel. [Female] Between the lessons and the passing days, a friendship grew in little ways. We couldn’t see what lay ahead, or all the memories we’d make instead. [Pre-Chorus – Male] A first hello can seem so small that day. [Female] You never know how long a friend might stay. [Both] The years go by, so many things are new, but you’ve got me, and I’ve got you. [Chorus – Both] Johan, Gabriel and Simon, from our first hello to where we stand. Life can take us down different roads, but we still reach out a hand. From the school hallways to a message on my phone, there’s always something new to say, a story to be told. When our Snapchat group lights up again, it’s the three of us, picking up where we left off, my friends. [Verse 2 – Female] Simon, I came to try the business course, wondering if it could be my path. That was when I first met you, a friendship starting somewhere new. [Male] Then I changed my mind, chose the arts instead, another classroom, another road ahead. But changing plans didn’t change us two, I found a different course and kept a friend in you. [Pre-Chorus – Female] Something I was only there to try— [Male] brought a friend who’s still here by my side. [Verse 3 – Male] In twenty twenty-three, the day arrived, Simon and I stepped into brand-new lives. We graduated, our school days through, with years of memories and dreams to pursue. [Female] Gabriel, one year later came your day, your turn to graduate and find your way. We all left school, but one thing stayed: the friendship that we’d already made. [Bridge – Female, softly] Now we’ve got our group where we keep in touch, a little message doesn’t have to say much. [Male] We talk about life, the big things and small, how the day has been, or nothing much at all. [Female] From Nolhaga School— [Male] to trying something new— [Both, building] to all the conversations we’re still having with you. So many little moments brought us here, with more to come through every passing year. [Final Chorus – Both, powerful and heartfelt] Johan, Gabriel and Simon, from our first hello to where we stand. Life can take us down different roads, but we still reach out a hand. From seventh grade and eighth grade, from business to the arts, to graduation days and all the things we’re yet to start. When our Snapchat group lights up again, I smile to see your names appear, my friends. [Outro – Male, softly] I was in eighth grade, you were starting seven. [Female] One day trying something new brought another friend. [Both] Now we’ve got all these years to remember, and our story hasn’t reached its end. Johan, Gabriel and Simon, us three, so much left to share, so much left to see.
