Clownfish changes your voice with digital effects. It shifts the pitch or adds a filter such as robot, alien or radio, so listeners still hear your own voice underneath.
Voices AI Live replaces the voice itself. A neural model keeps your words, timing and emotion, and speaks them in the voice you picked, live in every app that uses your microphone.
Clownfish can pass your audio to VC Client, a separate open-source tool, to use AI voice models that you find and download yourself. In Voices AI Live, AI voices are the whole app: pick one from the library, or create your own voice from a 5-second recording with Premium, and it is ready to use.
The full Clownfish app is for Windows; on macOS there is only a command-line edition that needs separate virtual audio software. Voices AI Live is a regular desktop app on both Windows and Apple Silicon Macs and sets up its virtual microphone for you.
Clownfish is probably still active on your microphone. Turn it off or remove it from the microphone in Clownfish, then restart the app you talk in.
Start Voices AI Live first, then fully quit and reopen the app you talk in so it rescans audio devices. If it is still missing, restart your computer to finish the virtual microphone install.
