How to use a voice changer in League of Legends

1

Install Voices AI Live

Download the free app for Windows or Mac and accept the virtual microphone install. Restart if your computer asks you to.

2

Pick a voice

Preview the voices in the app - or clone your own from a 5-second recording - and select one.

3

Set the input device in the client

In the League client open Settings > Voice and set Input Device to CABLE Output (VB-Audio Virtual Cable) on Windows or Voices AI Virtual Mic on Mac.

4

Join a party

Create or join a premade lobby, choose push-to-talk or open mic, and queue up. Voice carries into the match.

How voice works in League

League's built-in voice chat is for your premade party: it connects in the lobby and stays on during the match. Solo-queue teammates outside your party cannot hear you, so a League voice changer is mostly for duos, flex groups, and Clash teams - or for the Discord call you play on.

Voices AI Live runs as a regular app with a standard audio device. It never touches League's files, so the client simply sees another microphone.

Keep calls readable

Timers and ganks need to be heard clearly. Use a clear voice for ranked flex and save the chaotic ones for ARAM and normals. Push-to-talk keeps the AI from converting keyboard noise.

League of Legends voice changer not working? Quick fixes

the League client doesn't list the Voices AI microphone

Start Voices AI Live first, then fully quit and reopen the League client so it rescans audio devices. Look for CABLE Output (VB-Audio Virtual Cable) on Windows or Voices AI Virtual Mic on Mac. If it is still missing, restart your computer to finish the virtual microphone install.

My party hears my normal voice

Check Settings > Voice in the client and select the Voices AI microphone, then rejoin the party voice channel.

The voice sounds robotic, choppy, or cuts out

Turn off extra noise suppression in the app you are talking in, close GPU-heavy programs you are not using, and check your computer meets the Voices AI Live system requirements.

Other people hear an echo or their own voice

Use headphones. Speaker audio leaking into your real microphone gets converted and sent back to everyone.

Questions about this setup

Can I get banned in League of Legends for using a voice changer?

Voices AI Live does not read, modify, or inject into League of Legends - the game only sees a microphone, like a USB headset. Riot's rules on player behavior still apply, so don't use voices to harass or impersonate other players or staff.

Does it work with Wild Rift or console?

No. Voices AI Live is a desktop app, so it works with League of Legends on Windows and Mac.

Is the voice changer free?

Yes. Voices AI Live is free to download and includes free voices. Premium unlocks the rest of the voice library for $9.99/month or $59.99/year.

Can solo-queue teammates hear me?

League voice chat only connects your premade party. Everyone in that party hears the AI voice.

Is Voices AI Live an official League of Legends app?

No. Voices AI is not affiliated with League of Legends. Voices AI Live works as a virtual microphone that you select in League of Legends's audio settings, the same way you would pick a USB headset.

Is my voice uploaded anywhere?

No. Voice conversion runs locally on your computer. Nothing is recorded or sent to a server - your audio goes straight from Voices AI Live to the app you are using.
