Twitch voice changer

Twitch voice changer for live streams

Voices AI Live changes your voice live on Twitch. Add the Voices AI microphone to OBS Studio or Streamlabs, pick a voice, and talk to chat as a character, a celebrity parody, or your own cloned voice, converted by AI in real time on your PC or Mac.

Works with OBS Studio and Streamlabs on Windows 10 or later and Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 14 or later. Not affiliated with Twitch, OBS, or Streamlabs.

How to use a voice changer with Twitch

1

Install Voices AI Live

Download the free app for Windows or Mac and accept the virtual microphone install. Restart if your computer asks you to.

2

Pick a voice

Preview the voices in the app, or clone your own from a 5-second recording, and select one.

3

Add the microphone to your stream

In OBS or Streamlabs, add an audio input source (or set your Mic/Aux device) to CABLE Output (VB-Audio Virtual Cable) on Windows or Voices AI Virtual Mic on Mac.

4

Go live

Stream as usual and switch voices whenever a moment calls for it.

Using a voice changer on stream

Voice changers work best as moments, not marathons. Switch to a villain voice for a horror game boss fight, read chat messages as a parody voice, or run a character segment, then go back to your normal voice for long talking stretches.

Turn on the global keyboard shortcut in Voices AI Live settings to switch the voice changer on and off without leaving your game.

Keep your audio clean

Capture only one microphone. If OBS records both your physical microphone and the Voices AI microphone, viewers hear you twice. Mute or remove the physical microphone source once the AI voice works.

Twitch voice changer not working? Quick fixes

OBS shows no audio from the Voices AI microphone

Check that the audio source uses CABLE Output (VB-Audio Virtual Cable) on Windows or Voices AI Virtual Mic on Mac, that Voices AI Live is running with a voice selected, and that the source is not muted.

Viewers hear my voice twice

You are capturing both your physical microphone and the Voices AI microphone. Mute or remove the physical microphone source.

The voice sounds robotic, choppy, or cuts out

Turn off extra noise suppression in the app you are talking in, close GPU-heavy programs you are not using, and check that your computer meets the Voices AI Live system requirements.

Other people hear an echo or their own voice

Use headphones. Speaker audio leaking into your real microphone gets converted and sent back to everyone.

Questions about this setup

Is a voice changer allowed on Twitch?

Twitch's rules are about what you say and do. Don't use voices to harass people or to impersonate real people in a misleading way, and label parody voices clearly.

Does it work with Streamlabs?

Yes. Select the Voices AI microphone as an audio input in Streamlabs, just like in OBS.

Is the voice changer free?

Yes. Voices AI Live is free to download and includes free voices. Premium unlocks the rest of the voice library for $9.99/month or $59.99/year.

Can I turn the voice changer on and off quickly?

Yes. Turn on the global keyboard shortcut in Voices AI Live settings to toggle the voice changer while you play.

Is Voices AI Live an official Twitch app?

No. Voices AI is not affiliated with Twitch. Voices AI Live works as a virtual microphone that you select in your audio settings, the same way you would pick a USB headset.

Is my voice uploaded anywhere?

No. Voice conversion runs locally on your computer. Nothing is recorded or sent to a server; your audio goes straight from Voices AI Live to the app you are using.
